Glossy Box: September

It's always exciting to come home from work and find that my Glossy Box has been delivered! I have recently been reading a lot of bad comments about the service but I personally haven't had any problems and I get uber excited each month to open my box and discover what is inside, this month I thought I'd post about it.

For any of you that have not heard of Glossy Box (Is that even possible?) it is a monthly subscription service that delivers a box of beauty goodies to you once a month. The box contains 5 beauty related products in either sample size or full size, more information can be found on the website www.glossybox.co.uk.

Septembers box is the London Edition and has the most amazing packaging, the pale pink box has been replaced with a deep navy blue and the lid is adorned with none other than a Union Jack.... very Londonesque! Inside in true Glossy Box style its contents are wrapped in tissue paper and tied with a bow, in keeping with this months theme the tissue paper is red with illustrations of all things London and its finished off with a navy ribbon tied in a bow .... How Fabulous!

Fabulous red, white and blue packaging

Now that's  enough drooling over the packaging its time to undo the ribbon, peel back the paper and see if the contents are as good as the box design....

Tadaah! So here it is the London Edition, although it would appear that the products haven't kept to the theme and are all non-British, that's a bit of a let down but lets solider on.....

So this month see's the launch of GB Mag, its a little glossy magazine that has interviews, trend/product articles and various other bits and pieces... a bit of light reading to enjoy with a cup of tea! This seems to have replaced the fold out paper in previous boxes and the product info is now on a small card.

Now for the products, first up is Eylure Pre-glued Lashes, I have used Eylure lashes before and enjoyed them but I've never thought about buying pre-glued lashes! the information card states they are no mess, no fuss, no waiting! I'm excited to give these a go!
Full size: One Set £5.06                              Size received: One Set

Next up is Be A Bombshell Cosmetics, Onyx Eye Liner, This is a brand that I have not heard of before, although this isn't surprising as it is an american brand that isn't available here in the UK. This is an eye liner pen, it kind of reminds me of a Sharpie and doesn't smell so great either, it states that it is easy to apply either a thin line for a day time look or a thicker line for more drama! I will probably try and find out more about this before putting it on my eyes.
Full size: 3ml  $14        Size recieved: Full Size

Elizabeth Arden has made an appearance in the box with Untold, This is a cute looking sample in a nice glass bottle, a lot more style and effort than you normally get from a perfume sample! this fragrance is described as a modern floral fragrance "sparkling and fruity introduction, radiant floral heart and mysterious addictive warmth captures femininity in a bottle"
Full Size 50ml £48, 100ml £69        Size recieved: 5ml

Then we have Toni&Guy HairMeetWardrobe Classic Shine & Gloss Serum this is in limited edition packaging by Lulu Kennedy. This product claims to fight frizz with a light weight shine. I am normally weary of serums as I find some of them can be to heavy and subsequently take the life out of my hair by weighing it down, but I'm willing to give it a try as frizz is definitely on the horizon along with cold, windy, drizzley, rainy days.... so this could come in handy.
Full size: 30ml £7.19        Size recieved: Full Size

And finally hiding in the corner is a cute little tube of Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm For Lips, want to have soft, smooth lips? well apparently nipple balm is the answer and is a cult beauty product for doing just that whilst adding a glossy shine to your lips. Now the name needs some work but I have only ever heard good things about the Dr Lipp brand so I have high hopes for this one! it is also a multi tasker as it states it helps heal chapped lips, burns, abrasions, minor incisions, cuticles, eczema and any exteme dry skin patches.
Full size: 15ml £11.50        Size recieved: 3ml

I love the packaging and the products in this months box! Do you subscribe to Glossy Box? What did you get this month? What do you do with the empty boxes? Leave me your thoughts/links/ideas below in the comments box :)
